Christian Science was first introduced in Delray Beach, Florida in 1915. At that time services were held in the homes of Christian Scientists.

In 1923 this group became a branch of the Mother Church known as the Christian Science Society, Delray Beach, Florida.

In 1939 the Society became First Church of Christ, Scientist, Delray Beach. The present church building was dedicated on November 13, 1949.

In October 1991, a new Sunday School extension was added to the southern side of the church building. In addition to a Sunday School, rooms were provided for the care of young children, a church office, the Executive Board, and the First Reader.
